Proofreading
Proofreading is checking written work for errors before they are published, in any form. This can be for books, blogs, marketing material, websites and menus – anywhere where there are words.
Copy Editing
A copy-editor’s job is to make sure than an author’s text is correct in terms of spelling and grammar and to ensure the reader can understand the text. A spell check on your computer can only pick up on so much. A copy-editor also checks facts to prevent any errors being printed. Copy-editing is a lot more in depth than proofreading.
Project Management
Managing a printed project can be stressful and time consuming, employing someone to do this for you can make life easier. As a project manager or production controller I can oversee typesetting, proofreading, copy-editing and printing, or parts of it. It all depends on what you, the client, want and need.
